 Josh has over 10 years of teaching experience. He has taught students from age five to sixty-five in a myriad of different situations.

Josh has recently completed his Bachelors of music in Piano Performance and has open slots in his private teaching studio. This includes beginner to intermediate classical studies, beginner to advanced jazz studies, theory and ear training, as well as RCM exam preparation. Students will be provided with their own individualized “success plans” arming you with everything you need to take your musicianship to the next level.

Josh has experience teaching private piano lessons, group improvisation clinics, group french horn clinics, children’s group lessons and summer camps. Josh also has experience as a swim instructor lifeguard and camp leader with both the University of Calgary and City of Edmonton Recreation.

Josh is multi-certified in first aid, and has a clear vulnerable sector police information check in all jurisdictions.

With all factors in mind, Josh is able to facilitate either in person or virtual lessons according to your personal comfort level with in person contact, or schedule / travel requirements.

Josh has invested in setting up a virtual teaching studio (shown left). This studio includes various digital accommodations such as a high quality mic and webcam and software that displays everything that he plays for you. This studio set up ensures the best possible virtual piano instruction.
